This is a warning to anyone considering using Spiced Incense Warehouse (SIW, www.spicedincensewarehouse.co.uk). This company is a complete rip off and unless you enjoy paying money for thin air I'd suggest shopping elsewhere. You might get lucky, you might not (I'd say the odds are 50-50), you certainly won't get any help or compensation from the dipstick who runs this "shop" when you don't get your order. Scammer? Not sure I'd go that far, I'd say more like incompetent to the point of being a complete waste of space. I'm writing this hoping that it's listed on Google. If not, well whatever.

        I dont see other suppliers having to go to those lengths of defending themselves, Why not contact other suppliers and see how many of thier items are lost in the post annualy.

        You steal from customers and then expect the royal mail to bail you out no way.

        Maybe a few of us should get together and give you a personal visit to express our problems with you.

        And no John I am not the moron you are 99.9% customer satifaction you state

      It has come to my attention that a customer that recently purchased items from me was unhappy with his service.  I was currently in the process of working with this customer to resolve the issue but unfortunately he has decided to go beyond what I would consider reasonable.  Please know that here at SIW we are dedicated to making your shopping experience a good one.  Thank you for supporting us!

      That would have been a lot better then spouting venom or getting specific on the matter.  Work on your coping skills a bit when it comes to running a business, there will ALWAYS be people who do not agree or did not have the best exerience with your business.

When i mailed them thay said they would compensate me, but after that stopped answering my mails. So i agree with the warning. Dont order from SiW, John seems to be a selective scammer.

        Its wierd lots of packages get "lost" (or never been sent!!) in the mail when order from SiW. Never happens to be from somewhere else.

          I must point out that there is a massive difference between being 'ripped off' by a Co. and an article going missing in the mail. It seems to me these are all grievances regarding lost mail which effects every business worldwide equally and is not a result of anything SIW can or should have done. It is an unfortunate fact of life that items go missing everyday. I would imaagine the company would quickly refuse to deal with anyone lying, writing abusive mail and generally being ouyt of order. siw Im sure has far better things to do than interfere with your $100 items!!

          I placed a total of six orders in one month and 2 were"lost in post" Now this is the best bit I asked for recorded delivery with my last order.When it didnt arrive I asked John for the tracking number only to be told that he hadnt bothered sending it by recorded delivery as it was a small order. The item offcourse was lost in the post. NEVER SENT

          I asked for rd to ensure John sent the package. He didnt and after contact WITH HIM was simply told to contact the royal mail. I might add that they are looking into SIW due to the high claims of lost mail from SIW customers.

          Any offers of a refund or replacement of order NO SO 36quid out of pocket i have friends who can tell the same stories as myself.

          AVOID SPICED INCENSE WAREHOUSE or you will be spiced for sure

          JOHN HERON IS A SCAMMER AND A THIEF

    Having heard countless horror stories of packages supposedly "lost in the mail", and having gone through the same thing myself, I am fairly confident that Spiced Incense Warehouse is indeed a SCAM. I have ordered from dozens of different herbal sites and never had a problem until SIW.

    People saying to claim of Royal Mail are clearly idiots (or SIW employees) that do not understand how compensation claims work. The person that posted the item is responsible for making the claim, but SIW will tell you that their claim is unlikely to be successful. This is despite the fact that Royal Mail usually pay out on small claims unless they suspect fraud.

    In short: DON'T BUY FROM SPICED INCENSE WAREHOUSE!

     According to the consumer direct website the seller MUST give you their address when paying in advance!

    I can also confirm SiW is a dodgy company as I have recently made an order of over £150 and never received any product. When courteously asking for a receipt copy of a postal transaction they simply stopped replying to my emails. What kind of e-business does not keep records of shipping information handy in case orders "get lost in the post?" Also, most companies would typically like to keep customers, this one simply did not offer any sort of compensation or solution to "lost in the post" circumstance, they pretty much told me "tough luck."

    I've ordered many things from the internet in the past and this by far is the worst experience I have ever had. I would recommend everyone who is thinking about making a purchase from them to stop and order from someone else.

        Me and my mates have been shopping at SIW since it opened around a year ago and can only report excellent customer service and the lowest pricest anywhere, all companies have items go missing in the mail, how you then approach the company will determine if you get a refund and how you get dealth with in my experience!

        I work for SIW was concerned to read this post, we have investigated this bloggers claims thoroughly. Unfortunatly in this case we have found that this blog is completly untrue, there have been no postal losses of £150 or over in the UK. All customers entitled to any compensation have any arrangement in place already.

          I personally won't deal with a company who claims to be UK based but uses American payment systems to force you into sending cheques or postal orders. As soon as you see something quirky like that I advise to run a mile in your best running shoes. A reputable site should offer paypal, the usual UK debit card and credit card options as these provide payment protection for the buyer. Only allowing for credit card purchases is DODGY and this lack of paper trail is unneccesary, in my opinion, as the product is still legal. For the seller to not want to leave a paper trail is very dodgy indeed.

          Having read the majority of this blog, in my opinion all the positive comments about this site have been written by the same person. The typos and intonation are similar as is the style of approach. I would say the only genuine comments are the complaints.

          What I would suggest if these complaints are unfounded is the seller be paypal registered as a sign of good faith that customers money is protected.

          Never send cheques without a visible product people, get internet savvy
