so my step father has this thing where he thinks that he can tell me everything to do, a real jerk kind. i just want to know who gave him that kind of authority. like really i mean my *own* dad doesnt even boss me around that much and thats not because i dont live with him either its the fact that he knows im grown up and don't need somebody telling me what to do all the time.

    Growing up with both a stepmother and stepfather, I can understand your frustration. However, look at it from this point of view, as I wish I would have when I was younger. Your stepfather is not enforcing rules upon you to control you, he cares about your well-being, future, and safety. Step parents many times get a bad wrap for stepping in sometimes, keep in mind they are "Step-Parents". Give your stepdad a break and see his concern from another point of view. To this day I feel so guilty for constantly trying to please my real mother when i could have instead been appreciating my stepmother and the 'rules' she had that made me a responsible adult today.
