    If you're catholic, honestly repent. If you simply believe in a higher power, try to switch paths to a more righteous one. If you do not believe in any sort of God, it does not matter.

    The theory in Christianity is that there is a God and you are already forgiven by Him no matter what. The theory in atheism is that there is no hell to begin with. The theory in other religions like Hinduism is that you will reincarnate. Either way your probably going to be alright.
