I am going through a very tough time right now, and i need some music that i can relate to. I would love to be cheered up, but i would rather have music to relate too right now. perferably slow, sad, but with good meaningful lyrics.... Any suggestions...?

Try Vertical Horizon. They've got some good stuff. The song that fits your description sounds like Gray Sky Morning.

My ones that I go to when I want some melancholy are Bon Iver, Ben Howard, a few of Mumford and Sons' songs, Laura Marling, Lucy Rose, Ben Harper, Jose Gonzales. Coldplay is also one that many people listen to, not a great fan myself. Might not be your thing but everyone should also check out 'Lover Gone' by Peggy Sue :] hope things get better for you though man, music certainly helps me.

^^^ in particular try Ben Howard - "Three Tree Town", "Promise" and ""follaton Wood", Mumford and Sons - "Timshel" and "I Gave You All" and I forgot to mention Damien Rice ...try "Cannonball' and "Blower's Daughter" if you haven't already heard them.
